4th Time's the Charm

Well, it took four tries to get the rear differential rebuild working well. Adjusting/removing some shims didn't seem to do the trick, but after replacing the entire clutch pack, things are running smoothly. Thankfully, the parts were replaced under warranty from the original rebuild.
While test driving it, the brakes started feeling soft. The brake master-cylinder had been rebuilt, but it looked like it was causing air to bleed into the rear brake lines. So that came off and was replaced with a temporary, correct replacement, and after a complete rebleed, the brakes are working as they should.
Whew, it's always something. I have to keep reminding myself that it's a 52-year-old car.
This week, I loaded up the completed car into the trailer for the drive to Auburn Indiana for the 2022 NCRS Indiana Regional.

This will be the first try for the Performance Verification (PV), after we didn't get the chance for the PV in New Orleans two weeks ago.

Safely tucked away.

PV-Day is Thursday, April 28th 2022, at 09:00 A.M.

I'm confident that my mechanic, Dan Martin, has her more than ready for the test. It will be a little nerve wracking, but fun.
I'll keep you posted!
